Matthew Zimmerman
A native of Minneapolis, Matthew has owned and operated Wild Sound Recording Studio for 20 years. Formerly located in the Ford Center in downtown Minneapolis, the current building was bought and completely redone into it's current manifestation over ten years ago. A quick look at our client page or an internet search will show you the exceedingly wide variety of music that Matthew has worked with over the years. Matthew has many years of experience as a drummer and percussionist as well as an audio engineer. He has worked in public television as well. Like most of the best old-school engineers, he learned by doing rather than attending a recording school. Experience and excellent ears.
Gerard Boissy
Born in Chicago in 1958, Gerard has lived in Minneapolis for 28 years, moving here in 1981 to get involved with Minneapolis' early Punk and New Wave scene. He has been playing guitar and bass since 1974. He formed the band Rifle Sport along with Peter (Flour) Conway and spent most nights attending or playing shows at the 7th St. Entry, Goofy's Upper Deck and the Uptown Bar for most of the '80s and early '90s. He worked at First Avenue / 7th St. Entry from 1984 to 1988, where he met and worked with Matthew doing live sound and stage crew. He attended Indianhead Tech Institute in Superior WI for industrial electronics and UWEC for Theatre and Communications. He joined Wild Sound in 2006, and spent much of the 1990s touring with Shellac as FOH sound man. Gerard has spent many years cooking in local restaurants and still loves cooking at home. He currently plays in Kontrol Panel and The Quaking Bogge.
